Mahsa Mohkamkar is an associate attorney of Diasporal Law, available across offices.
She concentrates her practice in removal defense, asylum, employment-based, and family-based immigration. As a first-hand immigrant herself, she has an acute understanding of intimately the struggles that immigrants face and dedicates her career to assisting her clients with respect and empathy.
Ms. Mohkamkar is admitted to practice the state bar of New York as well as Immigration Courts nationwide. She has been a member of the New York Bar Association and the Iranian American Lawyer Association. She is fluent in Farsi.
Ms. Mohkamkar graduated from the University of Isfahan, one of the most prestigious law school in Iran. She received her Master of Law (LL.M.) from James E. Roger college of law at the University of Arizona. Prior to joining Diasporal Law, she served as a legal intern for the International Rescue Committee in Tucson. She directly assisted clients in receiving legal residency in the United States and reuniting family members.
Ms. Mohkamkar is an environmentalist, and after work, she enjoys spending her time with family, traveling, gardening, and listening to podcasts.
